Cookie Policy
Last updated 18 September 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar storage PDF Word Converter uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. Similar technologies include session storage used by the browser. They can be strictly necessary for a site to work, or optional (for example advertising). PDF Word Converter uses only what is required to run a Job in your browser.
2. Cookies we use
We set a strictly necessary session cookie (a PHP session identifier) so that a file you upload can be linked to the Job you start in the same visit. Without it, compress, merge, and the other tools cannot complete in the browser.
- Name — typically PHPSESSID (name may vary with server configuration)
- Purpose — keep your upload tokens for this visit
- Duration — session (removed when you close the browser, or when the server expires the session)
- Type — first-party, strictly necessary
We do not use advertising cookies, social-media tracking cookies, or optional analytics cookies. We do not allow third parties to set cookies through this site for marketing.
3. Legal basis
Where ePrivacy or similar rules apply, strictly necessary cookies may be used without optional consent because they are required to provide the Service you request. If we ever add optional cookies, we will ask for consent first and list them here.
4. How to control cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the session cookie, uploads and Jobs may fail. Browser help pages (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari) explain how to manage cookies on your device.
5. Changes
If our use of cookies changes in a material way, we will update this policy and the date at the top. Questions: Contact.
