Copyright and intellectual property
Last updated 18 September 2026
This notice explains ownership of the PDF Word Converter software and how to report alleged copyright infringement in Content processed through this installation.
1. Our rights
The PDF Word Converter name, interface, and original code are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may use the Service under the Terms of Service. You may not copy the product, scrape it to build a competing service, or use our marks without permission.
Third-party libraries used to process PDFs remain the property of their owners and are used under their licences.
2. Your Content
You keep copyright in files you upload. You must not upload works you do not have the right to process. PDF Word Converter does not publish a public archive of user files; working copies are deleted after a short period.
3. How to send an infringement notice
If you are a copyright owner (or an agent) and you believe Content on this installation infringes your rights, send a notice via Contact that includes:
- Your name, postal address, telephone number, and email
- A description of the copyrighted work
- Information reasonably sufficient to identify the Job or file (date, tool, file name if known)
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and that you are the owner or authorised to act, made under penalty of perjury where that form is required
- Your physical or electronic signature
This process is intended to follow the substance of notice-and-takedown practice (including DMCA-style notices where that law applies). Because files are deleted about two hours after a Job, many notices will arrive after the file is already gone. We will still review remaining metadata where we can.
4. Counter-notices
If your Job was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you may send a counter-notice via Contact with your identity, a description of the material, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake, consent to the jurisdiction of the operator’s courts, and your signature.
5. Repeat infringement
We may block access for users who repeatedly infringe copyright. Questions: Contact.
